Privacy policy
This page describes what this website actually does with personal data. It is written from the implementation rather than from a template, so what it says is what the software does.
What is collected
Only what a form asks for. A chapter download records your email address; the contact form additionally records the goal, interest and budget range you enter, and the page the form was submitted from. Your IP address is used to rate-limit abuse and is stored only as a salted hash, never in clear.
Why, and on what legal basis
Delivering a chapter you asked for is performance of a contract. Newsletter subscription is consent, recorded separately, and is never bundled with a download. Contact-form answers are used to prepare a consultation you requested.
How long it is kept
Lead records are erased 24 months after your last interaction. The date is set when the record is created and extended each time you interact, and a nightly job erases everything past it. This happens without you having to ask.
Who else sees it
Newsletter subscriptions are passed to Mautic, the mailing system, and the only field sent is your email address. The answers you give on the contact form are never transmitted there; the software is built so that they cannot be.
Cookies and analytics
No non-essential cookie is set before you choose, and each choice below is asked and stored separately. Decline analytics and nothing is loaded at all. You can change either choice at any time.
Recently viewed
If you turn it on, this site keeps a short list of the books you opened, in a cookie in your own browser, for the length of your visit. It contains book identifiers and nothing else: no name, no account and no identifier that could recognise you here or anywhere else. Closing your browser deletes it, and turning the setting off deletes it immediately.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the revised Swiss Data Protection Act you may:
- ask what is held about you
- receive a copy in a machine-readable format
- have your record erased
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what was lawful before

Requests are answered after identity is confirmed. That step exists to protect you: without it, anyone who knew your address could obtain or delete your record.
